Scott Lumley Bio

Born in Dyersburg, Tennessee Scott Lumley has become the leading force in Team Penning. Lumley started riding at the young age of 10, ponying race horses on his step-fathers ranch in Oklahoma. Upon moving back to Tennessee Lumley picked up on the fast growing equine sport, Team penning. Now a 18 year veteran and the 2002 #1 All-Pro Rider in the World and # 6 2003 NRS rider. Lumley has continued to stay in the mainstream of the most exciting equine sport in the nation.

Lumley was an exception student with a passion for sports. Active in baseball, basketball, football, cross country and track. Having attended several schools in his elementary and junior high school years, Lumley was finally settled and graduated from Donelson Christian Academy going on to attend the University of Tennessee.

Lumley has owned and operated several businesses over the past 20 years, With a entrepreneur spirit Lumley founded the National Ranking System. Currently in its 10th year tracking and ranking team penners nation wide.

Single, Lumley says his greatest accomplishments aren't the Champion titles below but his two beautiful boys, Cole and Kash.

Signing with Ford Motor Company as a Factory Sponsored rider, Lumley is poised to change the face of team penning from a local game to a National Equine Event. This latest accolade just adds to his long list of wins:
